The Break Free Experience

Life Can Look Fine on Paper
and Still Feel Off.

Two days away from your normal life to get honest about what's not working, and leave with a real plan to change it.

See Dates & Tickets

You don't have to be at rock bottom to want something to change.

Maybe life is actually pretty good. You've got work, family, people who rely on you.

But somewhere along the way, you started going through the motions. You know what you should be doing. You're just not always doing it. Same arguments. Same habits. Things you thought you'd have sorted out by now.

Most of us don't decide to get stuck. It happens slowly. We stop doing the things that scare us, lower our expectations, react instead of choosing. What was meant to be temporary starts feeling normal.

That's what Break Free is about. Not fixing your whole life in a weekend. Getting clear enough, honest enough and courageous enough to start changing it.

What you'll actually walk away with

Clarity about what's actually keeping you stuck

Not vague "limiting beliefs" talk. You'll walk away able to name the specific habits and patterns that have been running the show on autopilot.

A way to stop frustration and stress taking over

Practical tools so the next hard conversation, tight deadline, or bad day doesn't wreck you the way it used to.

Better conversations with the people who matter

Real tools for listening properly, saying what you actually mean, and breaking the same old arguments instead of having them again.

A goal you'll actually follow through on

Not another line in your Notes app. One real, written plan with a next step you'll actually take.

Proof you can do more than you think

A moment that shows you, physically not theoretically, that "I can't" isn't always true.

Momentum you can still feel on Monday

Not a weekend high that fades by Wednesday. A concrete first move for the week that follows.

Participants cheering each other on at a Break Free weekend

What does a Break Free weekend actually feel like?

This is not two days of sitting in a chair while somebody talks at you. And you don't need to be "into personal development" to belong in the room.

Expect a combination of:

  • Short teaching sessions
  • Individual reflection
  • Partner and group exercises
  • Goal-setting
  • Movement and high-energy activities
  • Honest conversations
  • Practical psychology and personal development tools
  • Plenty of laughter
  • Moments that will challenge you
  • One very memorable physical breakthrough experience

You'll participate. You'll probably be pushed outside your normal comfort zone at times. And you'll spend two days surrounded by ordinary people doing exactly the same thing.

“I'm not really a seminar person.”

Good. You don't need to arrive motivated. You don't need to be confident. You don't need to have your life figured out. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room. And you definitely don't need to know anything about personal development.

Just come willing to participate and see what happens.

What happens over the two days?

Brent Williams teaching on day one of Break Free

Day one

Understand what's been running you

We start with you. The beliefs you've collected. The stories you tell yourself. The habits and emotional patterns that have become automatic.

You'll explore why you think, feel and respond the way you do and start questioning some of the assumptions you've been carrying for years. Not because everything from your past needs analysing. Because sometimes an old belief is still making new decisions.

Get clear on what you actually want

Most people have a very long list of things they "should" do. That's different from having a direction. We'll help you separate what actually matters from everything competing for your attention and turn it into meaningful goals and practical next steps.

By the end of day one: a physical breakthrough

Understanding something intellectually is one thing. Experiencing it is different.

After a full day of working through your beliefs and getting clear on your goals, day one closes with a physical breakthrough experience designed to challenge some of the limits you automatically place on yourself.

We deliberately don't reveal every detail beforehand. Not because it's a gimmick. Because experiencing the moment without rehearsing it is part of what makes it powerful.

Participants connecting on day two of Break Free

Day two

Going deeper, safely

Day one gets you moving. Day two is where it really lands.

You'll go a little deeper: some guided, reflective work that can bring up real emotion for some people. That's normal, and it's part of why this works.

You're supported the whole way through, by Brent and by the people around you. Nobody's left to sit with something hard on their own.

Most people leave day two lighter than they arrived, not heavier.

Connection, gratitude and what happens next

The weekend ultimately comes back to life outside the room. Your partner. Your children. Your family. Your friendships. Your work. And your relationship with yourself.

You'll finish the weekend looking at what matters most and identifying what you want to do differently when Monday arrives, because a great weekend means very little if nothing changes afterwards.

DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT.

Real people. Real breakthroughs.

The Break Free guarantee

Come with an open mind. We'll take care of the rest.

Come to both days and give it a real go. If you haven't loved it by the end of the weekend, tell our team and we'll give you your money back. No fine print, no hoops. That's how confident we are that two days will shift something for you.

About your facilitator

Meet Brent Williams

For more than 25 years, Brent Williams has been standing in rooms helping people question what they believe about themselves and what they're capable of.

He began his career in personal development as a teenager, co-authored The World at Your Feet at nineteen and went on to build Empower U, one of Australia's longest-running personal development organisations.

Since then, Brent has presented programs throughout Australia and internationally and has spent thousands of hours doing the work he still loves most: standing in front of a room full of real people and helping something shift.

His most recent book, Allow Happiness To Find You Easily, reached number one Amazon Bestseller status in three categories.

Who comes to Break Free?

There isn't one "type" of Break Free participant. You might be:

  • Building a career but wondering if you actually enjoy it.
  • Raising a family and realising you've put yourself last for years.
  • Starting again after a difficult period.
  • Successful on paper but feeling strangely unfulfilled.
  • Working toward something but constantly getting in your own way.
  • Wanting to be a better partner, parent, friend or leader.
  • Or simply feeling like there's another version of you that hasn't had much airtime lately.

You don't have to arrive with a problem. Sometimes wanting more is reason enough.

For parents

Many parents first discover Brent and Empower U through programs created for teenagers. Break Free turns the focus back onto you: the same principles of confidence, responsibility, communication, emotional intelligence and personal growth that we encourage young people to develop. There is something powerful about asking our children to grow while remaining willing to grow ourselves.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is Break Free?

Break Free is a two-day live personal development experience for adults, combining practical teaching, interactive exercises, goal-setting, communication tools and experiential activities.

Do I need experience with personal development?

No. The event is designed for everyday people and requires no previous knowledge.

Can I come by myself?

Absolutely. Many participants attend without knowing anyone else in the room, and the event is structured so you'll quickly meet and work with other participants.

Will I have to talk about personal things in front of everybody?

You'll be invited to share and reflect throughout the weekend, mostly in pairs, small groups, or with your table, with a few moments where people can choose to stand up and share with the whole room. Nobody's ever forced to share more than they're comfortable with. Plenty of people spend the weekend mostly listening and still get everything out of it.

Is there anything physical involved?

Yes. Day one closes with a physical breakthrough challenge (kept as a surprise), and day two moves into deeper guided work that can bring up real emotion for some people. You're supported throughout, and you're never pushed further than you're ready for. If you have any physical or medical concerns, let us know when you book and we'll make sure you're looked after.

What if Break Free just isn't for me?

We back this weekend with a full money back guarantee. Come to both days, give it a real go, and if you haven't loved it by the end of the weekend, we'll refund your ticket. Come with an open mind, that's all we ask.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for physical activity.

What should I bring?

A water bottle, to stay hydrated. Everything else you need is provided.

Are meals included?

No. There's a break each day for you to grab your own lunch.

What ages can attend?

There's no strict age cut-off, but Break Free is built for adults. Most participants are 30 and over, though we've had participants as young as 19.

What happens after I purchase?

You'll receive confirmation immediately along with everything you need to know before the event.

You can keep thinking about changing something. Or you can give yourself two days to start.

You don't need to know exactly what you want from the weekend. You just need to know that something in your life is worth looking at.

Come spend two days with us. See what you discover.
